The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for processing ultrasound images for obtaining a non-uniform scatterer image through removing a side lobe signal from an ultrasound signal received through an array transducer, and identifying the distribution of a non-uniform scatterer by binarizing each pixel in the scatterer image from which side lobes have been removed through comparison with a critical value, thereby contributing to accurate diagnosis of lesion groups.
