#$%^&*AU2016100089A420160310.pdf#####ABSTRACT The present invention refers to a method for preparing stilbene-loaded polymeric particles comprising the preparation of an emulsion with the stilbene and a subsequent hardening of the polymeric particles, wherein the polymeric particles comprise poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid) and certain modifying polymer. The method for preparing stilbene-loaded polymeric particles of the present invention is highly advantageous allowing for the preparation of stilbene-loaded polymeric particles with a high yield and an exceptionally high loading and encapsulation rate. The prepared particles provide advantageous water solubility and exceptional biocompatibility, allowing for a significantly increased bioactivity of the stilbene. The invention, thus, provides a highly attractive delivery system for stilbenes. The present invention further refers to the obtained stilbene-loaded polymeric particles as well as a pharmaceutical composition comprising them.
