PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a human posture and motion discrimination apparatus capable of precisely discriminating that a person is in either state of standing, sitting, being recumbent, running, walking, ascending the stairs, descending the stairs, or tumbling using a triaxial acceleration sensor worn on a human body.SOLUTION: This human posture and motion discrimination apparatus for discriminating the posture and motion states of a person using an acceleration detecting means worn on the human body placing its front/rear in the X direction, its right/left in the Y direction and its vertical direction in the Z direction, is provided with: the acceleration detecting means detecting the X-directional acceleration, the Y-directional acceleration and the Z-directional acceleration which orthogonally cross one another a means for calculating a Z-directional posture component from the detected Z-directional acceleration a means for calculating a mean value of motor components of resultant composite accelerations of three-directional accelerations from the detected three-directional accelerations and a first discrimination means discriminating that the person is in either state of the posture states or the motion states based on the calculated Z-directional posture component and the mean value of the motion components of the resultant composite accelerations of the tree-directional accelerations.COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT【課題】人体に装着した3軸加速度センサを用いて、その人が立位、座位、臥位、走行、歩行、階段上昇、階段下降、転倒のいずれの状態にあるかを正確に判別できる人の姿勢動作判別装置を提供すること。【解決手段】人体にX方向が前後、Y方向が左右、Z方向が上下となるように装着した加速度検出手段を用いて姿勢動作状態を判別する人の姿勢動作判別装置において、互いに直交するX方向の加速度、Y方向の加速度およびZ方向の加速度を検出する加速度検出手段と、検出したZ方向の加速度からZ方向の姿勢成分を演算する手段と、検出した3方向の加速度から3方向の加速度の合成加速度の運動成分の平均値を演算する手段と、演算したZ方向の姿勢成分と3方向の加速度の合成加速度の運動成分の平均値から姿勢状態と動作状態のいずれの状態にあるかを判別する第1の判別手段を備えることを特徴とする人の姿勢動作判別装置。【選択図】図2
