The present invention relates to a liquid insecticidal composition containing one or more pyrethroid compounds and two or more organic solvents. The pyrethroid compounds may be, for example, compounds represented by the following formula (I), including 4-methoxymethyl-2,3,5,6-tetrafluorobenzyl=2,2-dimethyl-3-(1-propenyl)cyclopropanecarboxylate； 4-methyl-2,3,5,6-tetrafluorobenzyl=2,2-dimethyl-3-(1-propenyl)cyclopropanecarboxylate； 4-methoxymethyl-2,3,5,6-tetrafluorobenzyl=2,2-dimethyl-3-(2-cyano-1-propenyl)cyclopropanecarboxylate； and the like.wherein Rx, Ry and R represent the same meaning as defined in the specification. The liquid insecticidal composition is for spraying, has a density of 0.80 g/cm3 or more and a kinematic viscosity coefficient of 2.0 cSt or more and 6.0 cSt or less, and exhibits an excellent controlling effect on insect pests.
