An antiperspirant composition comprising a suspension of from 1 to 50% of an aluminium and/or zirconium containing antiperspirant active, a carrier substance in which the antiperspirant active is insoluble, and a poly(ethylene glycol) solution of a polyelectrolyte salt comprising sodium, potassium, magnesium, calcium, chloride and bromide ions, the weight ratio of sodium to the other named cations being less than 3:2 in said solution.
