PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pants-type disposable diaper that is improved in fitting properties of the whole circumferential direction of a waist edge.SOLUTION: In the waist edge W of an exterior body 12 in a front body F of a pants-type disposable diaper, a second sheet material 12H is extended to an end of a waist opening WO side, a first sheet material 12S is folded back inside of the second sheet material 12H at an edge of the waist opening WO, and a waist edge resilient elastic member 17 is sandwiched between the first sheet material 12S and the second sheet material 12H in either one side of the inside and outside of the second sheet material 12H and in the waist edge W of the exterior body 12 in a back body B, the second sheet material 12H is extended only to a downward position from the front end of the second sheet material 12H of the front body F, the first sheet material 12S is folded back inside at the edge of the waist opening WO, and at least a portion of the waist edge resilient elastic member 17 is sandwiched between the first sheet material 12S and second sheet material 12H in the waist opening WO side from the second sheet material 12H.
