PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a detergent composition for the hair and the scalp, having an excellent quick-drying property, suppressing greasiness and a smell and providing a fresh invigorating feeling and a deodorant effect after use without irritating the hair and the scalp.
SOLUTION: The detergent composition for the hair and the scalp comprises (A) an antiseptic active ingredient, (B) a nonionic surfactant solid at a normal temperature, (C) a deodorant or deodorizing essence and (D) a lower alcohol and has a residue on evaporation of <1 mass%. The method of use thereof comprises using a cleaning brush 10 having a substrate 1 and a plurality of projected parts 2 formed on one surface 1a of the substrate when the detergent composition for the hair and the scalp is used.
