PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide coated rice seeds that enable direct seeding and have a fertilizer effect while suppressing a material cost in comparison with the conventional coated rice seeds coated by metal iron powder and iron oxide, and provide a manufacturing method of the coated rice seeds.SOLUTION: Coated rice seeds concerning the present invention are configured such that the rice seeds are coated by: steel slag containing CaO of 25 mass% or more and 50 mass% or less and SiO2 of 8 mass% or more and 30 mass% or less the steel slag containing CaO of 25 mass% or more and 50 mass% or less, SiO2 of 8 mass% or more and 30 mass% or less, MgO of 1 mass% or more and 20 mass% or less, Al2O3 of 1 mass% or more and 25 mass% or less, Fe of 5 mass% or more and 35 mass% or less, Mn of 1 mass% or more and 8 mass% or less, and P2O5 of 0.1 mass% or more and 5 mass% or less dephosphorization slag and decarbonizing slag or both of the dephosphorization slag and the decarbonizing slag.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1COPYRIGHT: (C)2017,JPO&INPIT【課題】従来の金属鉄粉や酸化鉄で被覆した被覆稲種子と比べて、資材コストを抑えることを可能としながら、肥料効果を有する、直播可能な被覆稲種子及び被覆稲種子の製造方法を提供すること。【解決手段】本発明に係る被覆稲種子は、25質量%以上50質量%以下のCaOと、8質量%以上30質量%以下のSiO2と、を含む製鋼スラグ、25質量%以上50質量%以下のCaOと、8質量%以上30質量%以下のSiO2と、1質量%以上20質量%以下のMgOと、1質量%以上25質量%以下のAl2O3と、5質量%以上35質量%以下のFeと、1質量%以上8質量%以下のMnと、0.1質量%以上5質量%以下のP2O5とを含有する製鋼スラグ、脱リンスラグ、脱炭スラグ、又は、脱リンスラグと脱炭スラグとの双方により、稲種子が被覆されている。【選択図】図1
