FIELD: physics.SUBSTANCE: three or more light spots are formed on a horizontal surface by light emitters controlled by a computer. A test subject is placed at the centre of a loop enveloping the light spots. The shape, area, colour, brightness, direction and speed of movement of the light spots are varied according to a program over a given period of time unpredictably for the test subject. The test subject evaluates transformation and movement of the light spots and changes their position in order to remain at the centre of the loop enveloping the light spots. Transformation and movement of the light spots and the test subject are recorded by a video camera situated at a given height over the horizontal surface. The video is transmitted to the computer. From the moment of changing the shape or area or colour or brightness of direction or speed of movement of the light spots, the computer calculates, periodically with a given period of time, the position of the centre of the loop enveloping the light spots and the centre of the position of the test subject, the distance between the centres, the arithmetic mean value of the calculated distances between the centre of the loop and the centre of the position of the test subject.
