A bridge module (B) is provided at the end of the assembly of system modules (S1-Sn) opposite a field bus coupling module (S1) and/or opposite a voltage supply module (S2). The field bus coupling module connects a system bus (4) to a field bus (7). The voltage supply module feeds a supply voltage for the connected system modules if one system module is removed from the sequence of system modules. An independent claim is also included for a bridge module.
