The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition containing an extract, a fraction, or a compound of Malus sieboldii as an active ingredient. A Malus sieboldii branch extract of the present invention is obtained by the following steps: extracting Malus sieboldii branches using low carbon number alcohol selected from methanol and ethanol； adding hexane, ethyl acetate, butanol, and water which are solvents with different polarity； and successively fractionating the mixture. The cosmetic composition containing the Malus sieboldii branch extract, the fraction, or the compound as an effective component is provided by the present invention to have an anti-inflammatory activity and antibacterial activity. [Reference numerals] (AA) NO production amount(uM)본 발명은 아그배나무 가지 추출물, 분획물 또는 화합물을 유효성분으로 포함하는 화장료 조성물에 관한 것이다.본 발명의 아그배나무(Malussieboldii) 가지 추출물은 메탄올 또는 에탄올 중에서 선택되는 어느 하나의 저급알코올로 추출한 후, 이를 극성이 다른 용매인 헥산, 에틸아세테이트, 부탄올, 물을 넣고 순차적으로 분획하여 제조하는 것으로 구성된다.본 발명에 의해 항염활성 및 항균활성을 갖는 아그배나무 가지 추출물, 분획물 또는 화합물을 유효성분으로 포함하는 화장료 조성물이 제공된다.
