PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric fishing reel configured to smoothly and surely switch a power transmission state.SOLUTION: The electric fishing reel includes a switching member 50 operated in association with the operation of a speed changeover switch 60, and a speed change rotation body 219 provided at a mechanical speed change gear 210. The switching member 50 is urged by an urging means to be turnable from a first position where it is not engaged with the speed change rotation body 219 toward a second position where it is engaged with the speed change rotation body 219.
