PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disposable diaper usable as a pants type diaper as well as a development type, the diaper being excellent in leak prevention performance and also in wearing comfort in both types of use as a pants type diaper and a development type diaper.
SOLUTION: The disposable diaper includes an annular exterior cover located around the waist of a wearer and a crotch member which is connected to the belly-side skin touching part and the back-side skin touching part of the exterior cover, which is pendently provided to fit the crotch and which is equipped with an absorbent core. On the belly side of the annular exterior cover, there is a pair of guide break lines extending from the upper edge to the lower edge of the exterior cover, wherein the annular exterior cover can be cut along the guide break lines, detached from the crotch member and opened like double doors. Further, in the exterior cover near a part detached from the guide break lines, a fastening tape is stored that can be drawn out by the cutting. The crotch member is provided, on the non-skin-touching side of the absorbent core, with a hip-part first-elastic member that extends in the longitudinal direction of the crotch member.
