The adhesive (5) is applied between the upper face of the absorbent core (41) and the cover sheet (42) and between the lower face of the absorbent core (41) and the cover sheet (42) and is not applied to the positions corresponding to the empty space parts (41c). In the absorber (4), the sections of the cover sheets (42) positioned at the upper face and the lower face of the empty space parts (41c) are not fixed to each other with the adhesive (5).
