The invention provides a system and method of angularly stable fixation of animplant on a bone. The methodincludes the following steps: making at least one hole in the bone by means ofa bone drill, placing an implant on the bone in adesired position and joining the implant with the bone, such that the implantis prevented from rotation about its attachment point.Furthermore, the invention provides a system for use in the above describedmethod. Said system comprises a bone drill (40), animplant (20) and a sonotrode (50) for angularly stable fixation of the implanton the bone (10). The system can further comprise ajoining element (60) to join the implant with the bone.
