It is intended to provide an abzyme which can be used for the purpose of preventing or treating a disease caused by abnormality in cytokine production such as rheumatism or chronic obstructive pneumonia disease. An antibody prepared using human TNF-a as an antigen or a fragment thereof recognizes TNF-a and also it is an abzyme which can cleave and/or degrade the TNF-a.
