PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deoxidizer having a high oxygen absorbing performance per unit volume of a deoxidizer composition, and capable of maintaining the oxygen absorbing performance for a long period of time even under a high-humidity atmosphere.SOLUTION: The deoxidizer composition comprising 100 pts.wt. iron powder, 0.01-20 pts.wt. metal halide, and 0.01-5 pts.wt. repellant is packaged with an air-permeable packaging material without compounding an inorganic filler.
