The invention relates to an influenza viruses hemagglutinin protein as a vaccine antigen against influenza viruses, in particular to a protein being a fragment of H5 hemagglutinin from highly pathogenic avian influenza virus (HPAIV) H5N1 strain, expressed in a bacterial expression system. The protein according to the invention is a potential ingredient of an anti-HPAIV H5N1 vaccine, administered to chickens parenterally or through mucous membranes in the presence of adjuvants. The object of the invention is also a method of obtaining the vaccine protein.L'invention concerne une protéine hémagglutinine du virus de la grippe en tant qu'antigène vaccinant contre les virus de la grippe, en particulier une protéine qui est un fragment de l'hémagglutinine H5 provenant de la souche H5N1 du virus de la grippe aviaire hautement pathogène (HPAIV), exprimée dans un système d'expression bactérienne. La protéine selon l'invention est un ingrédient potentiel d'un vaccin anti-HPAIV H5N1, administré à des poulets par voie parentérale ou à travers les membranes muqueuses en présence d'adjuvants. L'invention a aussi pour objet un procédé d'obtention de la protéine vaccinante.
