PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new composition having anticandidal activity which has no need of considering the risks of side effects and resistant bacteria to candidiasis of the skin and mucous membrane including infectious disease, and is further gettable and easily usable by patients.SOLUTION: All of geraniol, eugenol and citral as plant essential oil components, and, palmarosa oil or geranium-egyptian oil as plant essential oil largely including geraniol, clove oil as plant essential oil largely including eugenol, lemonglass oil as plant essential oil largely including citral and ginger essential oil exhibit synergistic anticandidal activity by being simultaneously used with capric acid. Further, the plant essential oil components themselves, the plant essential oil and the capric acid can easily obtain products with high purity, and also, their utilization to food is allowed. Thus, the composition can be applied to wide products from medicines to food, and, when practicalization is carried out, patients can easily get any product, and can easily use the same.COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT【課題】感染症を含む皮膚、粘膜のカンジダ症に対し、副作用や耐性菌のリスクを考慮する必要がなく、また患者が入手しやすく簡便に使用できる新たな抗カンジダ活性組成物の提供。【解決手段】植物精油成分であるゲラニオール、オイゲノール、シトラール、および、ゲラニオールを多く含む植物精油であるパルマローザ油、ゼラニウム・エジプト油、オイゲノールを多く含む植物精油であるクローブ油、シトラールを多く含む植物精油であるレモングラス油、ジンジャー精油は、いずれもカプリン酸と同時に使用することによって相乗的な抗カンジダ活性を発揮する。また、植物精油成分そのものや植物精油、およびカプリン酸は、高純度の製品を得ることが容易であり、かつ食品への利用も認められている。したがって医薬品から食品まで幅広い製品に応用することが可能であり、実用化されれば、患者はいずれかの製品を容易に入手し、簡便に使用することができる。【選択図】なし
