PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the rise of an inner pressure inside a container body by opening and closing of a lid member.

SOLUTION: The syringe has a cylinder-like container body 4 for housing and extruding a viscous material, and a lid member 3 for closing the discharge opening 14a of the container body 4 includes a top surface wall 20 and a peripheral wall 21 extending downward from the periphery of the top surface wall 20. Also, a level difference surface 8a for reducing the diameter of the container body 4 and a mounting surface 8b for fitting the inner peripheral surface of the lid member 3 are formed at a mounting part 8 to the container body 4 where the lid member 3 is to be mounted, and the lower end face 21b of the peripheral wall 21 of the lid member 3 is abutted to the level difference surface 8a when closing the lid member 3. Then, on an abutting surface 21a where the inner peripheral surface of the lid member 3 is brought into contact with the mounting surface 8b, a discharge groove 22 extending to the top surface wall 20 is formed from the side of the lower end face 21b of the peripheral wall 21 to the axial direction of the lid member 3.
