The present invention provides an antimicrobial composition containing cis-cyclo(L-Leu-L-Pro) as an active ingredient and having specific antimicrobial activity against the genus Streptococcus or bacteria of the genus Shigella, a pesticide composition, and a method for producing an antimicrobial agent. The present invention exhibits excellent antimicrobial activity against the genus Streptococcus or Shigella and thus can be applied to various industrial fields requiring the removal and prevention of the genus Streptococcus or Shigella bacteria. In particular, the present invention is economically advantageous in terms of the use thereof because even a small amount thereof exhibits antimicrobial activity.
