PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for cultivating onion by which onion harvested in winter is cultivated without using any of set bulbs (small onion bulbs for fix planting): and to provide onion cultivated by the method.SOLUTION: The method for cultivating onion includes performing a sowing process (A) for sowing onion seeds on appropriate culture media, a sprouting process (B) for sprouting the seeds and a fix planting process (D) for fixedly planting onion seedlings in the field at a prescribed timing, in this order to harvest the onion in winter. In this method, the sowing process (A) is performed at a prescribed timing in accordance with timing for the fix planting in the fix planting process (D), the sprouting process (B) is performed at a prescribed temperature of about &le30°C, a raising seedling process (C) for growing the sprouted seedlings in a day length time enabling inhibition of diapause of the seedlings is performed, and the fix planting process (D) includes performing fix planting using the seedlings obtained in the raising seedling process (C), to harvest the onion in winter (E).COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT【課題】 セット球を用いることなく冬どりタマネギを栽培することがでる方法、及び該方法で栽培されたタマネギを提供する。【解決手段】 タマネギの種を適宜の培養基に播く播種工程(A)と、それを発芽させる発芽工程(B)と、所定のタイミングで圃場に定植する定植工程(D)とをこの順に実施することによって冬季にタマネギを収穫する場合、播種工程(A)は定植工程(D)における定植のタイミングに応じた所定のタイミングで行い、発芽工程(B)は略30℃以下の適宜温度で行い、発芽した苗を、当該苗の休眠を回避させ得る日長時間で生育させる育苗工程(C)を実施し、定植工程(D)では、育苗工程(C)にて得られた苗を用いて定植を行い、冬季にタマネギを収穫する(D)。【選択図】 図1
