The processing circuitry acquires a plurality of medical images respectively corresponding to a plurality of consecutive frames, generates first position data and second position data indicating positions of a moving object in a subject for a first medical image corresponding to a first frame and a second medical image corresponding to a second frame that is two or more frames prior to the first frame of the plurality of medical images, calculates a vector representing a movement of the moving object based on the first position data and the second position data, and generates display image data having a shape representing the vector.
