Described herein is a new initiator system for initiating radical polymerization of ethylenically unsaturated monomers. The initiator system comprises an organic compound having N-charged moiety in combination with an organic thiol compounds. The initiator system demonstrates better stability and is suitable for use in the field of a dentistry in formulated dual cure compositions, such as a resin modified glass ionomers, a cement, an orthodontic adhesive, and composite formulations.L'invention des présentes concerne un nouveau système initiateur pour initier la polymérisation radicalaire de monomères à insaturation éthylénique. Le système initiateur comprend un composé organique ayant une fraction chargée en N en combinaison avec un composé thiol organique. Le système initiateur démontre une meilleure stabilité et est approprié pour être utilisé dans le domaine de la médecine bucco-dentaire dans des compositions à polymérisation duale formulées, telles qu'un ionomère de verre modifié par une résine, un ciment, un adhésif orthodontique, et des formulations composites.
