PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope apparatus which can easily insert an endoscope into a duodenum while preventing warpage of the endoscope in a stomach.SOLUTION: An endoscope apparatus 1 includes an endoscope 10 and an overtube 20 through which the endoscope 10 is inserted. At a tip of the overtube 20, there are provided: an openable notch 24 formed from a tip of the overtube 20 in an axial direction； a balloon 25 adjacent to the notch 24 in a direction crossing the notch 24 and expansible and shrinkable in an outer-peripheral direction； and a fluid channel 22 which guides the fluid which expands the balloon 25 from the base end side to the balloon 25.
