The title of the invention: a roll baler. The field of application: the invention relates to agricultural machine-building, including equipment for forming cylindrical bales (rolls) of hay-strawy materials. The essence of the invention. A roll baler comprises a frame and the following units, fixed thereon: a windrow pick-up, a clamped grate, a chamber for winding and pressing hay into a roll with driving pressing rollers, arranged around the chamber with the ends of said rollers mounted at side members of the chamber, which consists of an immovable part and that rotary-hinging equipped with two hydraulic cylinders on each side to allow rotation thereof, and a unit for fixing the rolls. According to the invention, the unit for fixing the rolls has a U-shaped immovable frame, the legs of which are fixed outside on the side members of the chamber and made as guiding troughs, into which the legs of an internal U-shaped frame are disposed in such a manner as to allow moving the latter along the guides of the immovable frame. Between the crossbars of the immovable U-shaped frame and that movable two hydraulic cylinders, connected therewith, are disposed (closer to the ends of crossbars), on the opposite side of fixing of which to the crossbar of the moving U-like frame, finger punches with projections and screw grooves are fixed in perpendicular thereto, in such a manner as to allow rotating. The unit for fixing the rolls is arranged outside on the bale chamber in such a manner as to allow passing the finger punches into a roll between the pressing rollers. Also the pressing rollers, between which the finger punches pass, have semicircular grooves on the surface of the rollers according to the shape of the punches. In addition, the baler can be equipped with several units for fixing the rolls placing thereof both on the immovable part and that rotary of the chamber.
