PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus which enables an operator to take high quality images by an imaging method sensitive to static magnetic field uniformity while performing movement correction to keep the almost constant relation between a position of slice section and a position of imaging object site.SOLUTION: A control part 107 detects a position in a static magnetic field of the diaphragm of a subject P and sets a size of the tolerance corresponding to a size of the variation of the detected positions.
