Process for producing a cosmetic composition comprising the following steps: a) depositing on a basic cosmetic composition, by printing with the aid of an ink-jet printer, at least one fluid composition in an amount chosen to impregnate the base composition on only a part of its thickness, b) after at least one sampling of the impregnated layer, repeat step a) by modifying or not the fluid composition deposited by printing. Procédé de réalisation d'une composition cosmétique comportant les étapes suivantes : a) déposer sur une composition cosmétique de base, par impression à l'aide d'une imprimante à jet d'encre, au moins une composition fluide en une quantité choisie pour imprégner la composition de base sur une partie seulement de son épaisseur, b) après au moins un prélèvement de la couche imprégnée, répéter l'étape a) en modifiant ou non la composition fluide déposée par impression.
