This invention aims to provide a disposable diaper adapted to prevent urine and loose passage from commingling together in a crotch region.A disposable diaper (1) is formed in a crotch region (5) with a body fluid absorbent panel (3) extending in a back-and-forth direction of the diaper (1) and in the vicinity of transversely opposite side edges of the crotch region (5) with elastic leak-barrier cuffs extending in the back-and-forth direction. The leak-barrier cuffs are normally under a tension in the back-and-forth direction. The body fluid absorbent panel (3) is formed with first folding guide means (51) extending across the body fluid absorbent panel (3), along which the body fluid absorbent panel (3) can be folded to bring the body fluid absorbent panel (3) close to the diaper wearer.
