PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article which keeps a top sheet dry without causing a sense of stickiness of the top sheet even after absorption of high-viscosity menstrual blood, which enables visual recognition of time for replacement, and which reduces the risk of leakage.SOLUTION: An absorbent article 1 includes: an excretory opening abutting area 4 which is brought into contact with a wearers excretory opening a first emboss portion 5 which is continuously or discontinuously arranged in such a manner as to surround the excretory opening abutting area 4 an outer edge area 6 on the outside with respect to the first emboss portion 5 and a second emboss portion 7 which is arranged in the outer edge area 6 positioned on the longitudinal outside of the excretory opening abutting area 4. The first and second emboss portions 5 and 7 are formed by embossing a layer including a top sheet 2 and an absorber 3.
