PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disposable diaper capable of keeping the close fitting state of an inner pad to the crotch part of a wearing person even when an outer cover is slipped down from the trunk part of the wearing person. SOLUTION: This disposable diaper 1A comprises the outer cover 2 and the inner pad 3, and the inner pad 3 is formed of a surface sheet 20, a reverse sheet 21 and a liquid absorptive core 22 interposed between both the sheets 20 and 21. The inner pad 3 comprises a free front end part 3a located on the outside of the circumferential end part 9 of a front waist circumferential area 6, a free intermediate part 3b located between the front waist circumferential area 6 and a crotch area 7, and a fixed rear end part 3c located in a rear waist circumferential area 8. A fixing means 24 to be fixed to the outer surface of the front waist circumferential area 6 of the outer cover 2 is formed on the free front end part 3a.
