PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a leg strength evaluation method in which the convenience is excellent and the leg strength can be evaluated accurately, and to provide a leg strength evaluation device using the same.SOLUTION: The leg strength evaluation method includes: a step in which an acceleration and an angular velocity that show the movements of an upper-body section and femoral region in a subject H during a posture change from a maximum squat down posture which is a posture in which the subject H squats down as much as possible to a standing posture are acquired by an upper-body section sensor and a femoral region sensor and a step in which the maximum value max(Thip+knee(t)) of the sum of the joint moment of a hip joint and a knee joint of the subject H is acquired from the acceleration and the angular velocity of the upper-body section and the femoral region, and the margin degree of the leg strength is calculated based on the maximum value and the reference value Trefhip+knee that shows a minimum muscular strength necessary for the subject H to stand up from the squatting down posture.COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT【課題】 利便性が良好でかつ下肢筋力を精度良く評価することができる下肢筋力評価方法、及びこれに用いる下肢筋力評価装置を提供する。【解決手段】 本発明の下肢筋力評価方法は、被検者Hが可能な限りしゃがんだ姿勢である最大しゃがみ姿勢から起立姿勢に姿勢変化するまでの間における、被検者Hの上半身部及び大腿部の動きを示す加速度及び角速度を上半身部センサ及び大腿部センサによって取得するステップと、取得した上半身部及び大腿部の加速度及び角速度から、被検者Hの股関節及び膝関節の関節モーメントの和の最大値max(Thip+knee(t))を求め、前記最大値と、被検者Hがしゃがみ姿勢から起立するために必要な必要最小筋力を示す基準値Trefhip+kneeとに基づいて下肢筋力の余裕度を算出するステップとを備えている。【選択図】 図4
