Gas is supplied by the first stage of a two-stage vacuum compressor to a sorption block, consisting of three adsorbers, into one of the adsorbers, in which nitrogen is selectively sorbed, and the gas mixture is enriched with oxygen. The gas enriched with oxygen enters the storage receiver, from which it is supplied to the membrane module of the membrane unit for further oxygen enrichment and purification from the products of abrasion of sorbents. The gas passing through the membrane is supplied to the consumer, and the gas that has not passed is returned to the sorption unit and enters another adsorber for regeneration of the sorbent by countercurrent blowing and further filling of the adsorber. At the same moment, the exhaust gas in it is discharged into the atmosphere in the third adsorber, after which the remaining gas is pumped out of it with the help of the second stage of the two-stage vacuum compressor - the adsorbent is regenerated in vacuum. After some time, the adsorbers change their functions: the adsorber in which the sorption occurred, discharges the gas and is pumped out; after vacuum regeneration, gas that has not passed through the membrane for countercurrent purging and filling begins to be supplied to the adsorber, and gas enters the filled adsorber from the vacuum compressor and production of the oxygen-enriched mixture begins.
