PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide means for detecting snow cover which enables snow melting with a low loss of snow melting energy by detecting the presence or absence of snow cover on a greenhouse roof inexpensively, accurately, and extensively.SOLUTION: In detecting snow cover of a greenhouse roof 14 in which temperature is managed by a heating device, the inner surface temperature (the surface temperature of a greenhouse side) of the greenhouse roof 14 is measured by a temperature sensor 40, and when the change of the inner surface temperature of the greenhouse roof 14 which is measured by the temperature sensor 40 is within a given threshold range including 0°C, it is detected that there is snow cover on the greenhouse roof 14. When the temperature sensor 40 is disposed at a plurality of positions and the number of the temperature sensors 40 indicating a value within the given threshold range is not less than a given number, it can be detected that there is snow cover.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7【課題】温室屋根の積雪の有無を安価で正確且つ広範囲に検知して、融雪エネルギーのロスが小さな融雪を可能とする積雪検知手段を提供する。【解決手段】暖房装置で気温管理されている温室屋根14の積雪検知に際して、温室屋根14の内面温度(温室側表面温度)を温度センサ40で測定し、該温度センサ40で測定した前記温室屋根14の内面温度の変化が0℃を挟む所定閾値以内にあるときに温室屋根14上に積雪有りと検知する。前記温度センサ40を複数の位置に配設し、前記所定閾値以内となった温度センサ40の数が所定数以上となったときに積雪有りと検知することができる。【選択図】図7
