PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retainer and a retention method of an animal head in which the present invention can be used with high versatility without depending on individuals, and the displacement of an irradiation position of radiation due to a change of head tilt occurring whenever retained can be reduced furthermore.SOLUTION: A retainer for an animal head of the present invention has an upper canine supporting part and an upper jaw molar supporting part of the animal.
