A trunk opening and a pair of leg openings are formed in the absorbent article. In the vertical direction, a first overlapping area and a second overlapping area wherein at least the absorbent body and the sheet member are overlapped are provided on one side and the other side in the front/rear direction, respectively, said areas being inclined towards the outside in the horizontal direction, from the trunk opening side towards the leg openings. In the first overlapping area, at least the absorbent body and the sheet member are joined in a first joining area. In the second overlapping area, at least the absorbent body and the sheet member are joined in a second joined area.
