PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for simplifying a device configuration while ensuring safety of illumination light in a device having a mechanism for irradiating a subject with light.SOLUTION: A light irradiation device is used and comprises: a probe including an outgoing part for guiding light from a light source to a subject, a housing including the outgoing part, and a touch sensor for acquiring a contact state quantity between the subject and the housing； and a control device for controlling irradiation of light from the outgoing part on the basis of a degree and a change in the contact state quantity. The control device performs control to enable irradiation of light from the outgoing part when the contact state quantity is equal to a first reference value or more, and when the change in the contact state quantity, in a case where the change in the contact state quantity at the time of pressing the housing against the subject is positive, is equal to a second reference value or more.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1COPYRIGHT: (C)2017,JPO&INPIT【課題】光を被検体に照射する機構を有する装置において、照明光の安全を確保しつつ装置構成を簡素にする為の技術を提供する。【解決手段】光源からの光を被検体に導く出射部、出射部を含むハウジング、および、被検体とハウジングの接触状態量を取得するタッチセンサを含むプローブと、接触状態量の程度および接触状態量の変化に基づいて出射部からの光の照射を制御する制御装置を有し、制御装置は、接触状態量が第一の基準値以上であり、かつ、ハウジングが被検体に押しつけられる時の接触状態量の変化が正であるとした場合の接触状態量の変化が第二の基準値以上であるときに、出射部からの光の照射を可能にする制御を行うことを特徴とする光照射装置を用いる。【選択図】図１
