PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for simplifying apparatus configuration while securing the safety of illuminating light in an apparatus having a mechanism for irradiating an object with light.SOLUTION: This light irradiating apparatus includes: a probe that includes an emitting part for guiding light from a light source to the object, a housing that includes the emitting part, and a touch sensor for acquiring a contact state amount between the object and the housing and a control device for controlling the irradiation of light from the emitting part based on the degree of the contact state amount and a change in the contact state amount.
