PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plant growth-promoting or disease-controlling material which can improve the growth and disease resistance of plants to enable the efficient and persistently stable production of farm crops without affecting environments, such as air pollution.SOLUTION: A method for producing activated carbon on which microbes are immobilized includes charging activated carbon and aerobic microbes into an air-permeable container, and culturing the aerobic microbes, while rotating the container.
