PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine a drought state in drying of residual water used by a mist generator.SOLUTION: A mist generator includes: circulation blowing means 5 which has a suction port and an air outlet opened in a room to be misted and circulates the air inside the room to be misted heating means 7 for heating the air and humidifying means 8 installed downstream from the heating means. The humidifying means 8 includes: in a lower part, a water storage part 10 for storing the water in an upper part, a rotation body 18 which sucks water stored in the water storage part and sprays it and drainage opening/closing means 16 which communicates with a part of the water storage part and drains the water. In the mist generator, there are provided: in-generator drying means for drying moisture adhered to the inside of the generator and drought detection means for detecting that there is no water in the water storage part. Thus, absence of residual water can be detected by the drought detection means, so that the mist generator can be obtained which inhibits propagation of various bacteria in the residual water.COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT【課題】ミスト発生装置に使用される残水の乾燥において渇水状態を判定することを目的とする。【解決手段】ミスト対象室内に開口した吸込口と吹出口を有し、ミスト対象室内の空気を循環させる循環送風手段5と空気を暖める加熱手段7と加熱手段の下流側に加湿手段8を備え、加湿手段8は下部に水を貯水する貯水部10と上部に貯水部に貯水された水を吸い上げ噴霧する回転体18を備え、貯水部の一部と連通した水を排出する排水開閉手段16を備え、装置の内部に付着した水分を乾燥させる装置内部乾燥手段と前記貯水部に水がないことを検知する渇水検知手段とを装置内部に備えた構成にしたことにより、渇水検知手段により残水がないことが検知でき、残水における雑菌の繁殖を抑制したミスト発生装置を得られる。【選択図】図1
