The present invention relates to a suture package, the package comprising: • a base (1) comprising a receiving area (6, 8) for receiving a suture, • a cover (62), • lid locking means ( 62) at the base (1), comprising a first slot (58) formed in one of the base (1) and the cover (62), and a first tongue (72) formed in the other one of the base ( 1) and the cover (62), wherein the first tongue (72) is shaped and sized to: • be engaged through the first slot (58) while the cover (62) has a first orientation relative to at the base (1), then • be locked across the first slot (58) by rotation of the cover (62) from the first orientation to a second orientation of the cover relative to the base in which the cover at least covers part of the receiving area of the suture (6, 8). La présente invention concerne un emballage pour suture, l'emballage comprenant : • une base (1) comprenant une zone de réception (6, 8) pour recevoir une suture, • un couvercle (62), • des moyens de verrouillage du couvercle (62) à la base (1), comprenant une première fente (58) formée dans l'un parmi la base (1) et le couvercle (62), et une première languette (72) formée dans l'autre parmi la base (1) et le couvercle (62), dans lequel la première languette (72) est de forme et de dimensions adaptées pour : • être engagée à travers la première fente (58) alors que le couvercle (62) a une première orientation par rapport à la base (1), puis • être bloquée en travers de la première fente (58) par rotation du couvercle (62) depuis la première orientation vers une deuxième orientation du couvercle par rapport à la base dans laquelle le couvercle couvre au moins en partie la zone de réception de la suture (6, 8).
