The polysaccharide used is a branched maltodextrin, preferably with a molecular mass of between 400 and 4500.La présente invention concerne l'utilisation d'un polysaccharide pour améliorer la flore du colon du nourrisson et/ou de l'enfant en bas âge, et ainsi traiter ou prévenir les coliques, les entérocolites et donc améliorer et/ou favoriser de manière générale le bien-être intestinal des nourrissons et/ou des enfants en bas âge. La présente invention concerne également une composition alimentaire destinée à l'alimentation du nourrisson et/ou de l'enfant en bas âge comprenant au moins un polysaccharide pour traiter ou prévenir les coliques, les entérocolites et améliorer et/ou favoriser le bien-être intestinal chez le nourrisson et/ou l'enfant en bas âge. Le polysaccharide utilisé est une maltodextrine branchée, préférablement de masse moléculaire 400 à 4500.
