PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mower capable of efficiently mowing while preventing even low and soft grass from being cut down with a blade edge protector and preventing long grass from being caught into a gear box part when mowing, in the mower provided with the blade edge protector so as not to damage the blade edge of a cutting blade rotated at high speed.SOLUTION: An arm that goes over the tip of the cutting blade to enter between protrusions provided at the disk outer periphery of the blade edge protector and abuts on the protrusions to regulate rotation is provided from the gear box side to regulate rotation so that the blade edge protector mounted to a mounting shaft of the cutting blade through a bearing may not gradually reaches high speed rotation due to the frictional resistance or the like of the bearing.COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT【課題】 高速回転する刈払刃の刃先を損傷しないよう刃先保護具を設けた草刈機において、背丈の低い柔らかい草でも刃先保護具でなぎ倒されることなくまた、長い草が刈り取り時にギアボックス部に巻き込むことなく効率的に草刈できる草刈機を提供する。【解決手段】 刈払刃の取付け軸にベアリングを介して取り付けた刃先保護具がベアリングの摩擦抵抗等で次第に高速回転にならないよう回転を規制するため、刈払刃の先端を超え刃先保護具の円板外周に設けた突起の間に入り該突起に接して回転を規制するアームをギアボックス側から設ける。【選択図】図2
