A remote controlled floatation chamber with a trolling unit can be directed to a selected site in order to treat and control aquatic plants. The chamber method allows use of a broad range of treatment agents including herbicide, chemical and microbe's and UV-C light waves to destroy aquatic species. Provisions for deflating floatation tubes on the chamber allow it to be remotely lowered over species to be treated. Once the chamber is placed over the aquatic specie the treatment agent can be dispersed within the small volume of the containment volume with minimum exposure to the surrounding water. A variable volume device or storage bladder within the containment volume may be used to recycle the herbicide once treatment is completed. The chamber can then be moved to another site and the cycle repeated.
