PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner that has the function of cleaning and blowing air, restrains pressure loss in an air passage while being wholly made thin, and can enhance air cleaning performance.SOLUTION: An air conditioner comprises a casing 1, an air blowing unit 6, an air cleaning device 8, a plurality of wind direction control plates 10, a photocatalyst 60, and a light source 61. A suction port 4 and a discharge port 5 for air are provided in the casing 1. The photocatalyst 60 cleans air by receiving light. The photocatalyst 60 is provided on the wind direction control plates 10. The light source 61 irradiates the photocatalyst with light.
