The present invention relates to a prosthetic heart valve capable of maintaining the same structure as a human heart valve by using a flexible metal stent, in which valve leaflets are coupled to the stent, not by being stitched thereto but by being engaged with slit-shaped holes of the stent, thereby enhancing adherence and support capabilities, and durability against fatigue, and to a method for manufacturing the prosthetic heart valve. According to the present invention, the prosthetic heart valve comprises: a metal stent comprising three protrusion posts connected to each other through downward curved sections, three slit-shape holes formed at the center of each protrusion post, a plurality of leaflet holes formed around each slit-shaped hole, and a plurality of stitching holes formed around the lower portion of the metal stent an inner cloth which is inserted into the metal stent and stitched through the stitching holes, and is formed with cut openings connected to each slit-shaped hole and three valve leaflets made of a bovine or porcine pericardial sac, which are inserted into the inner cloth and stitched through the stitching holes with stitching yarn, in which both ends of each coupling portion coupled to each slit-shaped hole are stitched through the respective stitching holes, and the upper portions are freely arranged.
