1. Designed a multilayer vascular tube containing at least one layer of differentiated mature fibroblasts, at least one layer of differentiated adult smooth muscle cells, and any layer additionally contains differentiated adult endothelial cells, and this tube has one, two, three, four or all of the following characteristics: (a) the ratio of endothelial cells to smooth muscle cells is from about 1:99 to 45:55; (b) the engineered multilayer vascular tube is deformable; (c) the internal diameter of the engineered multilayer vascular tube is approximately 6 mm or less; (d) the length of the tube is up to about 30 cm; and (e) the thickness of the engineered multilayer vascular tube is substantially uniform along the portion of the tube; provided that the engineered multilayer vascular tube does not contain any pre-formed scaffold. 2. The engineered multilayer vascular tube according to claim 1, comprising an outer layer of differentiated adult fibroblasts and at least one inner layer of differentiated adult smooth muscle cells. A constructed multilayer vascular tube according to any one of claims 1 and 2, the tensile strength of which is sufficient to withstand physiological blood pressure. A constructed multilayer vascular tube according to any one of claims 1 and 2, wherein the ratio of endothelial cells to smooth muscle cells is from about 5:95 to 25:75, and the ratio of endothelial cells to smooth muscle cells is optional1.
