PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a composition for hair, which is useful for damaged hair and has excellent slipperiness and softness in wetting from application through rinsing to drying and after drying.SOLUTION: The composition for hair comprises (A) a tertiary amine compound of a specific structure and (B) an inorganic acid and/or an organic acid as essential components, and, if necessary, (C) a higher alcohol, (D) an oily component, (E) a silicone oil and (F) a polyhydric alcohol.
