The die roll has a first large-diameter component (12) with a cutting blade (15) provided on the circumferential surface thereof for cutting the continuous sections. The anvil roll has a second large-diameter component (22) facing the first large-diameter component. The continuous section conveying means supplies the continuous sections to a pressure-contact region (T). The non-continuous section conveying means causes the non-continuous sections to pass through the die roll and the anvil roll without making contact therewith.
