PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multieffect evaporator type device for production of a distilled water, capable of usually producing the distilled water as heretofore and capable of sterilizing the whole inside of the device by a high-temperature high-pressure self-generated vapor or disinfecting by a hot water when sterilizing or disinfecting by including a simple additional instrument and to provide the methods for sterilization by the vapor and for infection by the hot water.SOLUTION: The multieffect evaporator type device for production of the distilled water is provided with: a preheating unit for a supplies water a plurality of vaporators for sequentially generating a pure vapor from the preheated supplied water a vapor-liquid separator for the generated pure water a condenser for obtaining the distilled water by cooling the separated pure vapor with the supplied and cooling waters and an outside air introduction unit connected to the condenser.
